RT Booklovers Convention

May 12, 2015 - May 17, 2015

Booklovers and writers unite!

This massive convention features dozens of panels and a few hundred authors! Book signings, panels, parties, and everything else you could possibly want out of a book event. Want to see who else is going to be there? Click any of the links below!

  • Authors Attending This list represents anyone who registered as a published author and DOES NOT represent authors who will be signing at the Giant Book Fair. This is a dynamic listing so as more published authors register they will automatically be added to the list.
  • Authors Signing at the Giant Book Fair A list of all the authors who are signing at the Saturday book fair.
  • Authors Signing in YA Alley All of the authors signing in YA Alley during the Giant Book Fair
  • Authors Signing in NA Lane All of the authors signing in NA Lane during the Giant Book Fair
  • Authors Signing in Inspirational Fiction Way All of the authors signing in Inspirational Fiction Way during the Giant Book Fair

During the convention, I will be attending or a part of these panels and events:

YA: Burning Questions

Get up close and personal with your favorite YA authors, and ask them all your burning questions. Will your favorite couple ever get together? Why did the heroine’s best friend have to die? Whatever happened to that hot immortal guy in book two — and what is the title of that top secret e-novella anyway? This is your chance to hang out, chat and enjoy photo ops with some of the coolest authors around. You’ll find out their secrets (Cake or pie? Gale or Peeta?) in a lightning-fast round of questions.

LGBTQ: How to Write Realistic Queer Characters

Can a straight woman write about gay men? Can a cis-gendered person create a realistic trans* character? Should someone who is not part of a community create characters and write stories about that community, and if so, how? This panel of bestselling authors of queer fiction will discuss whether and how to write realistic queer characters, whether or not you’re queer yourself.
